A typical conversation

This conversation took place the other afternoon in the car. Mind you, Makenzie and Tyler argue about these kinds of things ALL the time. Half the time I think they argue just for the sake of arguing. It drives Mike and I crazy!!

Tyler: Mom- you are an "A+" mom.
Makenzie: She's not April's mom.
Tyler: Makenize, you don't even know what an A+ is.
Makenzie: Mom is not April's mom.
Tyler: An A+ means really really good.
Makenzie: Grandma Lewis is April's mom.

D-land

This is my favorite picture from our trip to Disneyland. Most of the time Austin was good but 18 months is not the best age for lines and rides.
Last weekend we took the kids down to Disneyland for a quick fun vacation. Both April and my mom came down for a day to see the kids and on Saturday we were able to hang out with Brian and Heather who came out from Utah.

The kids LOVED spending time with their Aunt April. In fact, both of them spent most of the day fighting over who got to hold her hand, sit with her, etc. And both Makenzie and Tyler started crying as soon as she left. It was so cute and I'm glad that they love their Aunt April as much as I do!!

Austin and I on Dumbo. He loved the rides!!

It was so fun to see Brian, Heather, Meg and Adin. We went on all the rides together and got some pretty silly sitting situations. Somehow Mike and Brian ended up going on Pinnochio all by themselves while Heather and I had all the kids. We laughed pretty hard about that. Meg and Tyler were both really brave on this trip and went on Screamin' . Meg even braved Tower of Terror. And Adin took a liking to Mike and wanted to sit next to him on most of the rides.

Mike, Makenzie and Tyler on splash mountain

Yep--- there he goes. Luckily we caught him before he got out of the park.

Matterhorn-- one of my all time favorite rides!!

He is sooo amused here.

Mike and austin on nemo. Austin loved this ride.

Austin growing up

I can't believe how big Austin is getting now. He has definitely lost the baby look. Everywhere I go, everyone says how much older he looks. It makes me a little bit sad that he is becoming more of a little boy now. He says and does the funniest things though and loves it when we give him a good laugh. We think he might end up being the family jokester.

Austin loves being outdoors.... that is as long as he has free access and can go wherever he wants. He loved going to Tyler's last baseball game although he tried a few times to go onto the field.

I still laugh when I see this picture although trust me, at the time I wasn't laughing.
It was quite the night that this happened. Bath #1: Gave Austin his usual bath. Unfortunately as I was getting ready to put his pjs on, he peed in his room on the carpet and on himself which resulted in Bath #2. I got him out and QUICKLy got him dressed in his Pjs. As I'm getting his toothbrush ready to brush his teeth, he very quickly jumped back into the bath tub- although this time with his pjs on and two of his stuffed animals resulting in Bath #3. Yes-- he does LOVE the water. Sheesh. I'm going to have to keep a close eye on this one.
