Sick Austin

So we were planning on blessing Austin this weekend in church. My parents came up last night and Mike is picking up his parents from the airport today. Ironically, last night I tried to wake up Austin for a midnight feeding and he was really lethargic, wheezy and had a temp of 102. We took him in to the ER and they admitted him to the pediatric floor. Fortunately, they have ruled out RSV and the flu but aren't sure if it is some kind of bacterial infection or maybe the start of pneumonia. Either way he will be in the hospital until atleast Sunday and maybe longer. We will try to keep everyone updated but would appreciate it if you could please keep him in your prayers.

2 months old

Austin is getting so big now. He's almost 2 months old and starting to lose that newborn look. I'm glad that the newborn phase is almost over but it's also a little bit sad because I feel like it is all going by so fast.

He's finally smiling pretty consistently at us. He especially loves Mike when he uses a high-pitched voice.

Austin officially has a nickname. For some time now we have called him "the bug". I don't know why or how he got this but then again I don't know how our kids get any of their nicknames. Most of the time they originate from Mike and it just catches on.
Our kids current nicknames: T-bone, Sis, and the bug :)

This week

This week the weather has been soooo nice here - 60s and 70s. The kids and I have taken advantage of it by going to the park a lot and walking to and from school. Yea California!! Austin loves being outside and almost always falls asleep if I push him in his stroller

Austin... almost smiling in this one. It's hard to catch. He is super good at holding his head up now.

What a good big brother.

For some reason, Makenzie and Tyler love to pet Austin's head. maybe they figure that is the only "safe" place to touch him.

One month old

Austin is over one month old already! I can't believe how fast it has gone by. He is already 10 lbs and over 21 inches long. He loves to eat and loves to be held. He's not a very good sleeper at night yet but hopefully with time, he will get better. We miss you all and hope you are having a good January.
