The Belly

So you've asked for it and here it is. The belly. I know that from here on out it's just going to grow exponentially until my stretch marks can't possibly get any larger without ripping apart. I always think that pregnant women are so cute until I'm one of them. Unfortunately for me, I'm not one of those woman who gain weight only in their belly. It seems like at first I gain weight everywhere but my belly. What is up with that? Oh well, it is what it is. Atleast I'm halfway there - 20 weeks. Only 20 more.

The Campout

So..... we bought a tent last week. Partly in preparation for a family reunion campout that we're going to have in August but also because I've always wanted one. We put it together on Saturday in our backyard just to make sure it worked and Mike said, "I was thinking it would be fun to sleep out here with the kids". Unfortunately, he incorrectly assumed when I said, "Yes that is a good idea", that the fun would also include me. To make a long story short, I slept a good night's sleep in my bed while the rest of the family bonded in the tent. Let's just say that poor Mike didn't look too good at 9:00 church the next morning. The kids loved it though and are already asking when their next campout with Daddy is going to be.
What a cheeser!!

Fun-Filled Summer Days

For the July 4th weekend we drove down to Bakersfield and spent a few days with my parents. The kids loved the pool- they are like two little fish. Tyler learned how to dive in and can now swim across the pool and Makenzie has learned how to jump off the rocks with floaties on her arms.
We went this past weekend to the San Francisco zoo.
Tyler has become quite the photographer. Here are two pictures he took of Mike and I.

It's a BOY!!

Well, I finally got into the doctor for the pregnancy and we found out it was a BOY!! Mike and Tyler are so thrilled. I'm still in shock because I really thought with the way the pregnancy was going that it was going to be a girl. We will get the official ultrasound in a few weeks but it was pretty definite.
I also got a job last Friday!! I got a per diem nursing job on a labor and delivery floor. I only have to work 32 hours in 4 weeks and the shifts are from 3:00 to 11:00 in the evenings. PERFECT!! I am so excited about NO more graveyard shifts. And the best thing is that since I am per diem I make way more than I would otherwise. I am making 3 times what I made in Utah!! I will probably start by the end of July. Wish me luck AFH girls.
